The Bachelorette may have just confirmed JoJo and Jordan are doomed
JoJo Fletcher clearly has found her front-runner on The Bachelorette Season 12 in former pro football player Jordan Rodgers. But after tonight's episode of the show, I'm not sure if he sees her as his front-runner.
JoJo had some pretty hard-hitting questions for Jordan tonight before she handed over that Fantasy Suite date card.
"In your mind, what does the next year look like for you?" JoJo asked over their uneaten dinner.
And Jordan paused. For a while. Before replying, "It’s a tough question to answer. It kind of depends. I don’t know what it’s going to look like exactly, 100 percent."
Well, that's confidence boosting for the girl you might be proposing to in a week. Uh, not!
Luckily JoJo doesn't let him off the hook so easily. "I think that makes me nervous. I feel like with your lifestyle, there’s a lot of movement, there’s a lot of being gone. In six months you could get a phone call, and you’ll be like, 'Well, peace, I’m out!'"
Jordan then finds his voice to say, "I want to spend the rest of my life with you."
But JoJo still isn't satisfied.
"Ehhh, that’s what Ben said," she tells him, complete with a shake of her finger.
Get it, girl! Love it.
"You have told me that you love me and that you’re in love with me and you want to spend your life with me," she continues. "How do you know? How do you know?"
The answer in my mind: He doesn't.
But Jordan's answer: "I have a feeling when I’m with you that I’ve never had before… And I really, truly think I am a better person with you, and in the past month, ever since I told you I was in love with you, when I think about that wedding day… it’s with you."
I'm not sold.
But JoJo seems to be, because she gives him the Fantasy Suite date card and does the dirty with him. She even tells the cameras (even though she won't tell the guys) that she's in love with both Robby and Jordan.
Part of me understands Jordan's evasive response. The guy has known JoJo for only about six weeks at this point. He probably didn't even know he was going to make it on the show earlier this year, let alone be nearly engaged by the end of the summer. To then contemplate where life goes after that would make anyone's head spin for a while. But the guy has been sitting in a house filled with dudes and no internet, phone or television for the entirety of filming. What else is he going to do but contemplate life? Specifically, life with JoJo.
The fact that he couldn't even come up with a semblance of a good answer definitely has me nervous for JoJo's future.
Do you think Jordan was just caught off guard by the question, or is his indirect answer a red flag?
