As soon as word got out that Gosselin was working at the restaurant, many were quick to assume that the former reality star needed the money to support his family. However, Gosselin says he just took the job to help out a friend and actually donated the money he made to charity, according to E! News.

While Gosselin said he loved the job, he quit for good after a co-worker sold a photo of him at work.

"I'm not going to work there anymore because now the trust and the teamwork is gone," Jon told Dallas radio station 103.7 KVIL FM. "Because now someone took a picture of me and sold it to TMZ. Thanks a lot, man! Now I gotta go through all of this stuff and now I gotta leave a job that I was passionate about."

Gosselin also revealed that he "really didn't make a lot of money" at T.G.I. Friday's. He said the job gave him something to do when he didn't have his kids or a DJ gig.

"I just went in and did my cooking," he said. "I loved going to work, because when I don't have my kids, I don't really do anything other than DJ and work."

Page Six spoke to the restaurant's general manager, Scott Trompeter, who revealed, "He works here because he likes to cook. He cooks during the day for me and sometimes here and there. He’s done a great job the last couple of months. He's part of my Friday's family."

Trompeter also said that Gosselin donates the money from his paycheck every week.
