Taylor Swift just got the mural she never, ever wanted
The Taylor Swift-Kim Kardashian Feud of the Century (aka Swiftmas in July) has captivated us all. But with the pace of the news cycle, most celebrity drama gets swept under the rug too quickly. Melbourne-based artist lushsux just made sure that won't happen this time.
The artist refers to Kardashian's Snapchat takedown of Swift as a death. Let's face it, it's not far off. "The recent passing of Taylor Swift is heart wrenching," lushsux writes on Instagram. "Come and leave some flowers and light some candles at her memorial in Hosier lane in honour of her memory." The artist tells BuzzFeed that the entire project only took as long as "it took for Kim and Kanye to Snapchat Taylor into oblivion." Not bad for an evening's work.
The artist asks that fans refrain from tagging the memorial because, hello, we're dealing with a dead person here. Adding to the hilarity is the fact that the "Swift" in cursive on the wall reads like "Smith" at first glance. Lushsux maintains that any mix-ups weren't intentional, telling BuzzFeed that it may help in avoiding the "the pending defamation lawsuit" that's surely en route from Swift's notorious PR team.
This isn't the first time lushsux has waded into Kardashian waters. The artist has also done large-scale versions of Kim's infamous selfies, firmly planting themselves in the hearts of #TeamKimye fans everywhere:
