Is Liam Hemsworth questioning his engagement to Miley Cyrus again?
Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth first got engaged in 2012, when Cyrus was 19 and Hemsworth was 22. While the couple ended up splitting in 2013, Hemsworth still defends his decision to propose at such a young age.
During an interview with Australia's News Corp about his new movie, Independence Day: Resurgence, Hemsworth was asked if getting engaged in his early twenties was an "impetuous" act.
"I don't think that it was impulsive," Hemsworth said of the proposal. "That was a well thought-out idea."
However, given that the pair appear to be reunited and closer than ever, Hemsworth defending his young engagement to Cyrus shouldn't come as too much of a surprise.
While the pair haven't officially confirmed that they are back together, engaged again or even secretly married, Cyrus seemed to show some serious insight on the matter when she posted a mirror selfie wearing a jersey with "Hemsworth" written on the back last week.
From the looks of this Instagram pic, it seems like the couple is re-engaged or possibly already married. If Cyrus is wearing a shirt with "Hemsworth" written on the back, she could be trying to tell us Hemsworth is already her last name. However, sources say the pair is just re-engaged and currently planning a destination wedding.
So, is Hemsworth questioning his decision to be with Cyrus now? All signs point to definitely not.
When the couple first called off their engagement back in 2013, they both took some time to figure themselves out and date other people.
Hemsworth addressed the pair's initial split in the June/July issue of GQ magazine, saying, "Of course it was hard, man. But at the time we were going in different directions and it's just what needed to happen. We were both super young and it was a good decision at the time — we both needed that."
If Hemsworth and Cyrus can find their way back to each other after a nearly three-year break, maybe their love is really meant to last. I guess some couples really are just meant to be.
