Uncle Joey has a Fuller House family and it's not the one you've met — yet
You may recall seeing Uncle Joey wearing a wedding ring in Fuller House Season 1, but why the heck haven't viewers seen his wife and kids? Does he even have kids? There's no need to worry about that any longer, because according to TV Line, Joey's family will appear in Fuller House Season 2.
Per TV Line, Joey's wife is named Ginger, who is described as "a little clueless in the parenting department" and is an "enthusiastic, upbeat, fun-loving magician." Yeah, she sounds absolutely perfect for Joey. Also, is there any chance she can make Steve disappear? Anyways, Ginger is slated to appear in Episode 6, which revolves around the Gladstones crashing the Fuller/Tanner/Gibblers' Thanksgiving.
So, why didn't Ginger and Joey's kiddos pop up in Season 1? Well, it all had to do with not having enough space or time for them. In February, series creator Jeff Franklin told TV Line, "It didn’t make it into the script, but at one point, we had him with a wife and kids back in Vegas." Executive producer Robert Boyett also added, "It just didn’t fit anywhere in the stories we developed. We had Joey — in the stories we were using him — come in for specific reasons. We just haven’t gotten to everything yet, and we don’t get to everything, even in the 13 episodes.”
Franklin promised that fans would see them one day and it's clear he kept his word, which is very much appreciated.
Who else is ready to meet Ginger? Also, what do you think their kids names are? Seeing as they are both a bit quirky and love to entertain others, I'm sure they chose names matching their personalities. If they have a son, maybe he is named Chuck? Hey, Joey truly does love Mr. Woodchuck.
Fuller House will return soon with Season 2 on Netflix.
