Don't like Ariel Winter's skin-baring dress? Here's a thought: Don't buy it
Ariel Winter has been getting a lot of hate for her decision to flaunt her body in skin-baring clothing, but what a lot of people are forgetting is that it's really none of their business. Just because Winter is a celebrity does not give anyone the right to comment on her body or on the way she chooses to show it (or not show it) off.
The most recent backlash came after Winter uploaded a picture of her high school graduation party, and the skin-tight blush dress she wore to it. Winter uploaded a photo from the special day, but the comments have been less than kind and include, "Youre 18 stop dressing like a whore," "You look beautiful but if my high school age daughter showed up in that... Ummm no," and "Looks vulgar."
However, she is not going to let the online trolls get her down, and Winter took to Twitter to share her thoughts with a series of tweets, in which she told off her body-shamers in the most perfect way.
Winter also reminded people that they should not let the outside voices influence who you want to be and that what she does with her life is ultimately her choice.
And that everyone should strive to be confident in his or her own skin instead of bringing down others.
We love Winter's unapologetic attitude and the fact that she's not letting her critics bring her down. At the end of the day, people need to realize it's only clothing, and really, what is the big deal?
