Demi Lovato is finally done with social media — or so she says
Demi Lovato has a lot of strong opinions that she is not afraid to share with the world, but it looks as though the negative opinions of others are really starting to get her down because she recently revealed that it may be time for her to leave social media.
Taking to Twitter on Monday, Lovato shared her thoughts on quitting the social networking site and bidding farewell to her 36 million followers.
She then told fans to add her to Snapchat, and alluded to the hate that she receives on platforms like Twitter, which have a comment section enabled.
There was clearly a lot on Lovato's mind because she also tweeted, "But why do people actually give a fuck what I say?? like if you don't care then gtfo haha."
But why is she so upset? The answer is, well, we're not really sure. Although, she did tell fans that people were too focused on the negatives instead of looking at all the positive things in the world.
As of this morning, Lovato has not disabled her Twitter account, so maybe she was just venting and wanted to get some things off her chest. But would taking a break from social media really be such a bad idea, given all that's happened/happening in Lovato's life right now?
Lovato and longtime love, Wilmer Valderrama, recently announced that they would be ending their relationship (although they intend to remain friends), and she has a lot on her plate at the moment with her upcoming tour with Nick Jonas, as well as promoting her line of Devonne cosmetics, so some time away from all the hate may serve her well.
Is this the last we will be hearing from Lovato for a very long time? We hope not.
