Blake Shelton celebrated a milestone birthday on Saturday, June 18, and because he's Blake Shelton, he decided to ring in his 40s with a bang.

Shelton performed a set at Country Jam 2016 festival in Grand Junction, Colorado, on his birthday, and girlfriend Gwen Stefani was on-hand to celebrate and even surprised the crowd when she walked onstage to sing their duet, "Go Ahead and Break My Heart" — which ended with a massive smooch.

But Shelton's birthday celebration wasn't just about the music: He also celebrated with a guitar-shaped birthday cake, colorful decorations and goofy, birthday-themed sunglasses and a birthday badge. Luckily for us, Stefani documented most of the day's activities on social media.

We love that for Shelton, age is but a number and he's still able to celebrate his birthday with all the enthusiasm of a child. We hope that his goofy, super-lovable personality never changes.
