Below Deck's Kate Chastain's in cuffs after strangling and biting her girlfriend

Kate Chastain, star of Bravo's reality series Below Deck, has been arrested for alleged domestic abuse.

According to TMZ, Chastain was arrested Monday in her hometown of Melbourne Beach, Florida. Allegedly, she was attempting to kick her girlfriend out of their house when she bit and choked the other woman. TMZ also reports that police had already launched a domestic violence investigation against Chastain after her girlfriend showed up to work with suspicious bruises on her arms.

Chastain, who stars as the lead stewardess on Below Deck, a series documenting the workers on a luxury mega-yacht during charter season, was arrested and booked Monday on charges of felony battery by strangulation.

Entertainment Tonight reports that she spent the night at the Brevard County Jail before appearing in court Tuesday morning and posting her own $5,000 bond.
