Scott Disick has obviously had some trouble setting new boundaries with Kourtney Kardashian. He’s mentioned his desire to get back together with her over and over, but she’s been adamant that they are officially over. Most normal couples would find a way to move on and create individual lives while co-parenting, but nothing in the Kardashian world is normal.
Instead of creating his own life, Disick is constantly being invited to Kardashian events. In last night’s episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, he says that he wants to be around Kourtney, Kris Jenner and the whole gang, but he feels like a tag-a-long now. He told Khloé that he doesn’t think they want him there, but that they are forced to invite him as the father of Mason, Penelope and Reign.
Most relationships include two people, but in Disick’s case, he has his relationship with Kourtney to deal with on top of his relationship with each of her sisters and her mother. He’s forced to apologize at least four times for anything he does wrong. And none of them will ever take his side in an argument against Kourtney. That’s a tough spot for anyone to be in, let alone someone who just lost both parents and his own family within the span of a year.
This isn’t to say he’s an angel. I’ve seen the cheating pictures. All that I’m trying to point out is that he doesn’t have to bend over backward to make each Kardashian sister happy. He’s only responsible to Kourtney, if he does want to make a relationship work with her.
He’s not wrong for standing up for himself and not going to Kanye West’s fashion show. There are plenty of other ways for him to show West support without involving the public eye or public opinion. Just because that’s not how it works in the Kardashian world doesn’t mean that it’s right. Disick is right on this one, and I’m glad he didn’t go to the fashion show if he wasn’t feeling it.
