Don't ask Bella Hadid about RHOBH — she isn't interested in watching it
Bella Hadid is boycotting the show that practically made her mom Yolanda Foster a household name.
Hadid, the daughter of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Yolanda Foster and real estate mogul Mohamed Hadid, is far too busy with her own life, and far too uncomfortable with drama, to bother watching the show that pays her mother's bills. In fact, she said she has never seen it, despite appearing on it herself!
In the July issue of Elle UK, Hadid explained that Foster did consult with her children before accepting her part on the reality show and did her best to keep the kids off the air until they were a bit older.
"She talked to us. We were kind of iffy about it at first. But she was an interior designer, so it was kind of a job," she told the mag.
In fact, Hadid did not even appear on the show until she was 17 years old.
"I think that was my mom protecting us," Hadid explained. "But we all lived together, so we probably had to introduce ourselves at some point.
"I didn't really choose the life I have now. I'm obviously very, very blessed, but being on the show wasn't about me trying to get famous. It was just trying to make my mom happy."
Hadid covers the new issue, wearing a denim jacket and a serious expression.
"Thank you @ElleUk !!! New cover by @terrytsiolis and @samiranasr," she wrote.
Hadid also revealed that her original career plan of Olympic equestrian was derailed by her struggle with Lyme disease and a stint at photography school was delayed after her modeling career began to take off. Good decision: She was just named the new face of Dior beauty.
