Dancing with the Stars fan favorite Paige VanZant has a shocking family secret that's just been leaked.

More: No, Nyle DiMarco doesn't want hearing implants — he's happy being deaf

According to Radar Online, VanZant's older brother, Steven Sletten, is a convicted child molester.

The site claims to have obtained court documents that show that Sletten, 24, is serving a 30-month sentence at Santiam Correctional Institution in Salem, Oregon. He was arrested in the spring of 2012 after a then-13-year-old boy accused him of sexual abuse. The boy told detectives the abuse had been going on for nearly a year.

During the investigation that followed, child porn was found on Sletten's computer. He was arrested and charged with four counts of sodomy, two counts of sexual abuse and a first-degree charge of online sexual corruption of a minor for the porn possession.

More: We shouldn't punish Nyle DiMarco for being confident

Radar Online reports that Sletten made a deal with prosecutors in March 2013, agreeing to plead guilty to attempted sodomy and attempted sexual abuse. He was sentence to 30 months behind bars and five years on probation.

VanZant hasn't used the name Sletten in years, and now we may have some indication as to why — with her life in the public eye, she could very well be trying to distance herself from her brother's crimes.

VanZant has talked publicly about growing up as a tomboy in Oregon and spending most of her childhood playing with her older brother.

"My brother and I used to box each other in our neighborhood," she's said, according to Radar.

Whether the discovery of VanZant's shocking family secret will affect her performance on Dancing with the Stars still remains to be seen.
