Supernatural spoilers: We might finally have proof that Chuck is really God
He's baaaack! As previously reported, Rob Benedict returns to Supernatural in Season 11, Episode 20 (airing May 4) as the beloved Chuck. Details surrounding his episode, which is appropriately titled "Don't Call Me Shurley," are being kept under wraps.
Even though information about how and why Chuck is coming back into the lives of Sam and Dean remains uncertain, at least The CW was nice enough to give fans a glimpse at photos of his anticipated comeback.
As you can see below, Chuck hasn't changed a bit and is still his adorable self. Also, notice the microphone in the header image. Does this mean he is now a lounge singer? Here's hoping he sings a song or two. Based on the computer and those glasses, it also appears that Chuck is still writing. Either this means he is still the all-knowing prophet, writing more Supernatural novels or maybe he most definitely is God recording the events of his sister, Amara/The Darkness.
Per the episode description, Chuck returns "with an interesting proposal." Meanwhile, Amara continues to wreak havoc as she unleashes her dark fog and a plague on a small town causing everyone to go mad.
With that, let's bask in these glorious photos.
So, now that Chuck is back, does this mean he really is God, like fans have suspected since Season 5? If so, then maybe his "interesting proposal" has something to do with getting rid of The Darkness. Maybe he'll give Sam and Dean a helping hand for something in return. If not, why is Chuck popping up now?
Whatever the case, it will be good to see him back in his element. Also, let's keep those fingers crossed that Chuck can answer Sam and Dean's prayers when it comes to saving the world, again.
Thank God Chuck is back.
Supernatural airs Wednesdays at 9/8c on The CW.
