Another Real Housewives star is helping Joe Giudice adjust to prison
Joe Giudice can't quite give interviews about his experience behind bars just yet. Thankfully, his lawyer James J. Leonard has no qualms about opening up to People about his client's new life in prison.
"I visited with Joe on Friday and he is doing as well as can be expected," said Leonard. "I would say that he is adjusting very well. I know that he misses Teresa and their four daughters immensely, but Joe will get through this, just like Teresa did."
Giudice's mother and sister visited the prison last week, but People reports that Teresa Giudice is having difficulty obtaining visitor privileges due to her own legal issues. Leonard's confident that it won't be a problem for long. "Teresa will be visiting with the girls as quickly as she is approved by the prison, which should be within the next week," says Leonard.
The lone bright spot in the prison yard: Giudice isn't the only Bravo star there. Apollo Nida, The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Phaedra Parks' estranged husband, is also serving time at Fort Dix for bank fraud and identity theft. Leonard says Nida "was an absolute gentleman and helped [Giudice] get acclimated." Two reality show husbands suffering through prison together? Now that would make a good series.
