Kesha takes aim at body-shamers with a powerful message
After years of suffering from eating disorders, Kesha is finally comfortable in her own skin, and it's a beautiful thing to see.
Taking to Instagram on Monday, Kesha posted a photo of herself in a black bikini and striped cat-eye sunglasses as she enjoyed some time in a swimming pool — and she had an important message for all the haters.
She captioned the picture with an empowering message, writing, "Not a slave to perfection right now. f*** it. ***body shamers please f*** off ain't nobody got time for it. @lhorizonpalmsprings in my skivvies."
Fans have reacted in a supportive and encouraging way, with comments on the image including one from dtansley912, who wrote, "You look gorgeous and relaxed!!"
"You look so freaking gorgeous!!!!! I can't get over it!!!!!! OMG QUEEN YOU ARE STUNNING!!!!!!!!!!!! @iiswhoiis your [sic] beautiful," keshaisback gushed.
"Well you look fantastic and everyone here seems to love and support you fight on warrior your [sic] inspiration to us all," gageboan shared.
And claudiafleiss wrote a very special message, thanking Kesha for being an inspiration. She wrote, "U help me survive daily."
Despite the bitter legal battle between Kesha and producer Dr. Luke (the man she has accused of emotionally, physically and sexually abusing her), she has been firmly focused on her well-being during the past week and has enjoyed some downtime at L'Horizon Resort Palm Springs in California.
In another picture, Kesha revealed that her sadness was being eliminated.
And that she had the best sleep she's had in years.
Good for you Kesha; life is too short to appease the haters.
