Gilmore Girls revival will also feature an extra special Parenthood reunion
The TV gods have answered Gilmore Girls and Parenthood fans! Both of Lauren Graham's most beloved TV daughters may finally meet, after all. As TV Line reported Tuesday, Mae Whitman will be in the Gilmore Girls revival. Before I elaborate, I'll let you catch your breath, because I'm sure you're freaking out.
OK, ready for more information? Whitman, who is also a huge fan of Gilmore Girls (see her tweet below), will briefly appear in one of the four 90-minute episodes on Netflix. Guess what? Her scene will be with Graham, aka the woman who played her mother on NBC's Parenthood.
Unfortunately, further details are being kept under wraps, but as TV Line teased, "She shares a really fun (albeit small) moment with Graham that will delight Parenthood fans." Well, I guess that's better than nothing, right?
Here's hoping there is also a chance Whitman and Alexis Bledel (Graham's other TV daughter, who brings Rory Gilmore to life) will come face to face, too. I mean, wouldn't that just be glorious?
So, who do you think Bledel will portray? It could be a number of different people, but whoever her character is doesn't really matter, because to see Parenthood's Sarah Braverman (Graham) and Amber Holt (Whitman) together again is more than enough.
Bledel and Whitman have already gotten in on the fun, teasing that there is a rivalry between the two over Graham for being their mom on the small screen, so the fact that they will both be part of the GG revival really is a beautiful thing. Basically, it's something both Gilmore Girls and Parenthood fans have been hoping for for quite a long time.
Who else is even more anxious for new episodes of Gilmore Girls?
