Ben Affleck weighs in on Jennifer Garner's parenting skills in new interview
Ben Affleck is on the press circuit for his new film Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, which means lots of interviewers asking the really important questions — like what's going on with his back tattoo and whether or not he enjoys co-parenting with Jennifer Garner. Like the humble ex that he is, Affleck is doing a fabulous job of singing the praises of Garner, with whom he now shares custody of Violet, Seraphina and Samuel.
Affleck told E! Online, "Jen is a superhero mom. She is an amazing mother and I'm really lucky to have her as a partner to co-parent these kids with. We try our best, we put them first and that's what we do."
His comments are a bit of a far cry from Garner's allusion to nannygate in Vanity Fair. "I have had to have conversations about the meaning of 'scandal' [with my children]," she told the mag.
As a solo parent, Affleck is doing his part to keep his children out of trouble by keeping son Samuel from seeing his dad on screen as Batman. "Well, he can see some of it. I don't know… It just depends. Every kid is different," he said. "Like I don't know if he would be scared seeing me, like if he would think it was really me getting thrown around and crashed and hurt. I don't know if he could know the difference. So, we'll see. I'll warm him up."
