RHONY's LuAnn de Lesseps invites unexpected guest to her wedding
When LuAnn de Lesseps walks down the aisle on New Year's Eve, she'll be surrounded by friends, family and her ex-husband.
De Lesseps is making headlines this week for her decision to invite her ex-husband, Count Alexandre de Lesseps, to her Palm Beach wedding to Thomas D’Agostino Jr. The former spouses have stayed friends, says the Daily Mail, and have two children. The couple was married from 1993 to 2009.
The second time around, de Lesseps and D'Agostino got engaged on Feb. 5, less than three months after they met, and plan to wed this Dec. 31. "I want a big wedding," said de Lesseps in an interview. "I eloped the first time. This is my only wedding. We want to get married in church with priests and do the whole nine yards."
De Lesseps has shared her fond feelings for her ex publicly before. "I found my match," she shared in the interview above. "It's so rare. I'm lucky I found it a first time, let alone a second time."
The more difficult question may be if co-star Ramona Singer, who has been linked to D'Agostino in the past, will be invited to the wedding. For her part, De Lesseps isn't bothered: "I call it BL: Before Lu. And before Lu, I don’t care what happened," she told the New York Post. Sounds like we have a very good Palm Beach-based episode of The Real Housewives of New York coming our way next season.
