Dolly Parton spills the beans on Miley Cyrus & Liam Hemsworth's rumored romance
If there was any remaining doubt, consider it proved wrong.
Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth are definitely back together.
The latest confirmation comes from Cyrus' godmother, country music legend Dolly Parton. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, she officially confirmed the persistent rumors that Cyrus and Hemsworth have rekindled their romance.
After answering yes to a question about whether she likes them together, Parton continued, "I was really happy to hear that they had gotten back together."
The one thing she didn't confirm? Whether Cyrus and Hemsworth are engaged. The couple was engaged the first time they dated — Hemsworth proposed in June of 2012. Rumors began circulating that the engagement was back on when Cyrus was spotted out wearing a ring that looked an awful lot like the one Hemsworth used to pop the question the first time around.
After calling off their years-long relationship in 2013, Cyrus and Hemsworth reportedly linked back up when she spent New Year's in his native Australia. "Miley wants to get married," a source told People magazine earlier this year. "His family was very hesitant about a marriage in the past, but they really got to know Miley better when she spent time in Australia a few weeks ago. Everyone seems excited that they are back together."
Other reports from sources close to the on-again couple say they're living together, and Cyrus has all but ditched her hard-partying entourage, one of the reasons she and Hemsworth broke up in the first place.
"Miley and Liam are picking up exactly where they left off," a source told Us Weekly. "They know what they have is real. Miley needed some time to grow up, but she feels ready for this now."
