Thanks to an appearance on The Doctors, Jenelle Evans has the underlying cause of her mystery illness.

The Teen Mom 2 star has been suffering from a host of symptoms including night sweats, anxiety, hot flashes and pelvic pain, according to the Daily Mail.

She shared that her body has been through some changes recently: She started a new birth control method and quit smoking marijuana in December.

"I noticed that I smoked marijuana for a long time, probably for years and years and years,” she said. "And recently I stopped in about December. And then I noticed my symptoms coming on in the end of January."

For endocrinologist Dr. Joseph Pinzone, this combination is what led to her nasty symptoms. "In this case, there [are] in fact two sets of substances that are going on," he said. "One that's been added, and another that's been taken away." He also considered possible effects of her brief stint on diet pills.

After a visit to Dr. Peter Weiss, OB-GYN, Weiss agreed that her birth control pills played a role in the illness. Evans, who has two children, says she's fine with quitting her birth control and has no plans to get pregnant anytime soon. "Maybe like later on, a year or two from now," she said about her plans for future children. "I want to buy a house and get settled down... so when I settle down and stuff, yeah, maybe then. But not any time soon."
