Lauri Peterson's family keeps getting bigger.

The Bravo alum went on The Daily Dishto share that she's adopted her granddaughter Kennedy and is raising her with her husband George. Kennedy's father, Peterson's son Josh, has struggled with addiction and he and his wife are "both really struggling," she said. In order to build a better life for 3-year-old Kennedy, Lauri and George decided to take her in along with their six children from previous marriages.

"It's been such a great experience because this is helping [Josh and his wife] out, and hopefully they can get their lives together and be OK," said Peterson. "But on the other hand, for George and I, I've watched him raise his kids, he's watched me raise my kids, but we didn't have a child together, and now I get to see a side of George that I've never seen before. And if I was in love with him before, I've fallen so hard in love with him now because he is so generous to take on this huge responsibility."

Kennedy, who has lived with the Peterson's since she was 6 months old, gets extra care from Lauri's oldest daughter. "I've got my oldest daughter, Ashley, and she's a huge help. And Kennedy just loves Ashley. And she loves all of her little cousins and her aunts and uncles and everybody," says Lauri. She's even tried to switch from calling Lauri and George Nana and Poppa to Mommy and Daddy.
