Vanderpump Rules' Jax Taylor gets off easy after Hawaii theft (VIDEO)
Vanderpump Rules star Jax Taylor is taking full responsibility for shoplifting in Hawaii, and he's barely getting a slap on the wrist.
A very contrite Taylor appeared in a Hawaii courtroom today to answer to charges of stealing an expensive pair of shades from a Sunglass Hut in Honolulu last July, and in the courtroom video, we see a side of him we never get to see on Vanderpump Rules: a humble Taylor.
During his court appearance, Taylor blamed his bad behavior on too much alcohol, acknowledged that the incident will follow him forever and actually apologized.
"I had too many drinks, too many mai tais," Taylor told the judge. "I made a mistake, took full responsibility and I understand this is going to follow me the rest of my life due to the fact that I'm on television. So I just want to say I'm sorry and I apologize."
Taylor told E! News that fans would get to see the whole ordeal go down on an upcoming episode of Vanderpump Rules.
"You'll see what happens. It's a mistake, everybody makes them, mine happens to be on TV," he explained. "It was a screw-up, you'll see what happens. You know, I wasn't all there mentally."
Taylor took a plea deal that includes 364 days probation, a $350 fine to Sunglass Hut, a $105 fine to the Crime Victim Compensation Commission and $1150 in other fees and fines. If he keeps his nose clean during his probation period, his record will be expunged.
