Gwen Stefani admits Blake Shelton isn't her type
Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are an odd pairing. Although the two are cute and flirty on The Voice, they come from completely opposite worlds, so it makes sense that people have some questions about the two of them as a couple. Luckily, Stefani has started to shine some light on what brought her and her new boyfriend together.
Most recently, Stefani talked to radio host Gary Bryan about what’s going on in her life, and obviously he started asking about her love life. When Bryan questioned Stefani about her particular type of man, the singer was quick to point out that Shelton isn’t it.
But not because she doesn’t like him, but because she doesn’t actually have a type. Stefani said, “I've only had two boyfriends, right? So I'm not like — when you say that, it just sounds funny. It's just so limited. No, I do not [have a type].”
Although, those of us who remember her No Doubt days know that she dated bandmate Tony Kanal (without whom we wouldn’t have the classic “Don’t Speak”). Maybe ex-husband Gavin Rossdale doesn’t count as a boyfriend in her eyes because they were married? Who knows.
One thing that is for sure is she definitely doesn’t have a type. Kanal, Rossdale and Shelton have nothing in common, at least in terms of their public personas. But I don't think that's a bad thing. There’s nothing wrong with not having a type. Variety is the spice of life, right?
Shelton and Stefani seem absolutely giddy over each other, so I’m happy for them. But, Gwen, if you’re reading this, please tweet me a quick explanation of your math. Thanks!
