The Bachelorette's Kaitlyn Bristowe & Shawn Booth open up about wedding plans (VIDEO)
Kaitlyn Bristowe and Shawn Booth may not be quite ready to tie the knot, but that doesn't mean that there is trouble in paradise. The two recently decided to take a step forward in their relationship and move in together.
Whenever a The Bachelor or The Bachelorette star gets engaged, viewers begin to prepare for what they assume is an inevitable breakup. This isn't exactly unreasonable, as The Bachelor and The Bachelorette success stories are few and far between. However, a few lucky couples have emerged from the franchise with successful relationships — and Bristowe and Booth appear to have joined this esteemed group.
Fans are a bit concerned that Bristowe and Booth aren't making headway on the wedding planning process, but this is by no means a sign of trouble. If anything, the two are more committed than ever. They now live together in Nashville, Tennessee, and, aside from a few occasional spats about globs of toothpaste in the sink, they get along famously. They plan to enjoy living together for some time before they start to worry about planning for their big day. During a recent chat with People, Booth admitted that he's dealt with plenty of wedding pressure, but he's mostly managed to keep it out of his mind. "We only knew each other for 10 weeks before I proposed. We're both normal people and the most normal thing we can do is wait."
When they do get married, Bristowe plans on changing her name. She's not super traditional when it comes to weddings, but she does like the idea of taking Booth's last name — she finds it romantic. For now, Booth and Bristowe are content to refer to themselves as the "Boothstowes." Other than the subject of her last name, Bristowe has little set in stone for her eventual nuptials. But she promises that everybody will know when she begins to make big decisions.
Bristowe and Booth are clearly still in the midst of the honeymoon phase, but their relationship is far stronger than what viewers witnessed while watching The Bachelor. According to Bristowe, when Booth proposed, the two were in the midst of a fantasy love. Now, their love is real and unstoppable. Despite all of the difficulties associated with being a couple in the public eye, Bristowe insists, "I love Shawn more now than the day he proposed."
