Jenelle Evans’ ex-fiancé’s legal woes continue as he’s forced to leave home

Year got off to a rough start? You’re in good company.

Teen Mom star Nathan Griffith was evicted from his South Carolina home twice near the end of 2015, Radar Online reports. According to documents obtained by the site, Jenelle Evans’ baby daddy was evicted from his Horry County, South Carolina, apartment for failing to pay $1,534.74 in owed rent. The eviction notice stated that the “tenant fails or refuses to pay the rent when due.”

On Nov. 20, Griffith’s landlord prepped to get him out of the building — which likely came with a warning for Griffith. The “Rule to Vacate or Show Cause” stated, “Failure to vacate the premises or to respond within TEN (10) days may result in the issuance of a writ of ejectment.”

When Griffith was arrested on Feb. 3, he turned in $1,000 worth of stolen goods from Evans. Radar Online reports that he even stole Evans’ iPad out of her car. Perhaps he was trying to steal himself some rent money?

A source clarified the situation for Radar Online, with a key update — Griffith is back in the apartment with the charges dropped. “He was late on his rent, but he paid it and is still in the apartment,” the source explained. “The leasing company sold the property, so that is why it was listed twice.”

We can only hope Griffith finds a more constructive way to pay his rent in 2016.
