Rebel Wilson's hilarious Baftas speech was the show's most memorable moment
The 2016 Baftas were filled with heartwarming moments and moving tributes but there were some hilarious ones too, largely thanks to actress Rebel Wilson.
While Wilson didn't win any awards on Sunday night she did win the Internet when she took to the stage to announce the nominees for Best Supporting Actor — and made an important comment about the Oscars' lack of diversity.
"It's so great to be here at this very serious event. I have never been invited to the Oscars because as you know they are racists," Wilson began.
"But the BAFTAs have diverse members, and that's what we all want to see in life, isn't it? Diverse members."
While Wilson's speech was hilarious, and was welcomed by a roar of laughter, it also highlighted the controversy surrounding the 2016 Academy Awards and how the ceremony has been blasted for its lack of diversity.
However it wasn't just diversity that was on Wilson's mind during Sunday's ceremony: so too was Idris Elba.
The Baftas fell on Valentine's Day so it was only appropriate that Wilson let Elba feel the love with her awards speech. She tried her smoothest moves saying that he was "making her flustered" and that she "is just sociologically programmed to want chocolate on Valentine's Day" — a comment Elba found hilarious.
Fans reacted to the speech, praising Wilson for being absolutely hilarious and making them cry with laughter.
Some fans even went so far as to say that Wilson was the only enjoyable part of the evening.
But there's one thing that most fans agree upon: we'd all like Idris Elba for Valentine's Day.
