Blue Ivy makes music video and Super Bowl debut before halftime (VIDEO)
Beyoncé released a brand new song on Saturday afternoon and her daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, gives her debut performance in the music video.
In true Beyoncé fashion, the singer dropped a surprise single and music video, titled "Formation," just a day before her Super Bowl halftime show appearance.
Blue is featured in the video standing as part of a trio of young girls as Bey sings the lyrics, "I like my baby hair, with baby hair and Afros."
The video also showcases some powerful images of a sinking New Orleans police cruiser and a wall with graffiti that says "Stop shooting us," as well as a scene of a black child in a hoodie dancing in front of police officers in riot gear putting their hands up.
Bey performed the song for the first time at the Super Bowl 50 halftime show on Sunday evening. Bey took to the field to "get in formation" with an entourage of female dancers and, no surprise, she slayed it.
Blue was also there to support her mom during the performance. Gwyneth Paltrow shared an adorable snap of her daughter, Apple Martin, and Blue all ready for the big game.
Apple, 11, is seen walking her with her new gal pal, four, backstage wearing a pair of seriously stylin' jackets. Paltrow's ex-husband, Chris Martin, also performed during this year's Super Bowl with his band Coldplay.
Beyoncé, Bruno Mars and Coldplay all joined forces for an epic halftime performance paying tribute to 50 years of Super Bowl history. Plus, it featured an amazing dance battle between Beyoncé and Mars that we're still trying to decide the winner of.
Beyoncé also announced some big news at the end of her halftime performance, and the BeyHive is freaking out. Bey's heading back out on tour! The Formation World Tour kicks off on April 27. Tickets go on sale Monday, Feb. 15.
