Logan's Gilmore Girls return could mean an engagement for Rory
It's official: Stars Hollow is welcoming back one of Rory's former loves. TV Line reports that Matt Czuchry is returning to Gilmore Girls as Logan Huntzberger. The Netflix four-part revival is slowly turning into the reunion fans have hoped for, ever since the Season 7 finale. So, now that Logan is officially returning (and will most likely come face-to-face with Rory), does this mean that Logan and Rory are destined to be together?
As Gilmore Girls fans recall, near the end of Season 7, Rory turned down Logan's proposal. He then jetted off to California, where he accepted a job offer. At the time, it was the right choice for Rory, who was making a career for herself and looking to the future. However, things really didn't end well between the two, who were together for two seasons. I think it's safe to say that their reunion is probably going to be quite awkward.
That said, and even though eight years have passed since the final episode, I assume neither of them has kept in touch. Will they randomly run into each other? Will they mutually decide to meet up after all these years? Will Logan return to Stars Hollow after hearing about Richard's passing? The options are endless.
There is probably one question fans are thinking about now that Logan is returning, and that is, "Will Logan and Rory end up together?" Gilmore Girls creator Amy Sherman-Palladino told TV Line that Rory is "single in the sense that she’s not married. But she’s dating like any young woman with that face would be."
Well, if Rory is dating, she could easily fall back in love with any of her suitors, including Logan. Or maybe she'll find her way back into love with Jess or Dean (if either of them returns). Or she might choose someone completely different. Or maybe she'll remain single.
At this point, so much is unknown when it comes to Rory's love life and Logan's return (it's still unclear how many episodes he'll appear in), but I'm sure Logan and Rory shippers are hoping they finally get engaged.
