A rumor is floating around that 19 Kids and Counting is coming back to TV, and people are absolutely furious about it.
According to an unsubstantiated and unsourced story in The Christian Post, TLC will begin airing new episodes of 19 Kids and Counting sometime in 2016. The publication claims cameras have been spotted with the controversial Duggar clan at the local lumberyard and thrift store.
If those sightings actually occurred, they may have simply been filming for a new season of Jill and Jessa: Counting On, or a new, yet to be announced Duggar spinoff that TLC likes to use in an attempt to maintain their reputation in the face of the Duggar sex scandal while still cashing in on Duggar ratings. Jana and Jinger Take Las Vegas, anyone?
However, the unreliability of the rumor has not stopped the media from picking up on the story, and people are absolutely furious that it could actually be true. Could TLC really be bringing back 19 Kids and Counting?
We’re thinking the new spinoff is probably the biggest culprit, or another season of Counting On. Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard have by all appearances returned home to Arkansas early after cutting short their second church trip to Central America. Some have speculated Jill either is trying to or already is pregnant and is afraid of contracting the Zika virus, but our money is on a TV contract.
Neither the Duggar family nor TLC has commented on this rumor, but we will keep you updated!
