Kyle Richards’ relationship with her sister Kim has reportedly been on the mend.
But that didn’t stop critics from calling her out at the first sign of potential drama. Kim Richards’ ex-husband Monty Brinson, who she was married to briefly in the ’80s, passed away last week. The gossip site All About The Real Housewives accused Kyle of skipping the funeral. She immediately responded on Twitter, “My husband , kids & I were all there. Ridiculous.”

Her support is likely helpful at this difficult time for her sister Kim, who is reportedly struggling deeply with the loss. A source told People, “It’s Kim who is taking it the hardest. Monty knew what was happening. He was prepared.” Brinson, who a source described as Kim’s “best friend,” died of cancer on Jan. 24. He and Kim are parents to one daughter, Brooke.
The mag’s source elaborated, “[Kim] is sober right now, which is the best thing she can [be]. If [Kim] didn’t have her kids, everyone is worried what would happen. She is incredibly fragile right now, and with her history, it’s a scary place for her to be.”
Despite the complicated history between the Richards-Hilton family (and the drama that may or may not have been played up for our entertainment on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills), it’s heartening to see a family bond together in a time of need.
