Jill Duggar slammed for 'exposing' her son to countries with Zika virus
Jill Duggar's son, Israel, is growing up so quickly, and on Tuesday, the proud mom took to social media to share a snap of her baby boy meeting his new friends.
The photo is believed to have been taken during Jill and Derick Dillard's mission trip to El Salvador and shows baby Israel getting to know a Salvadoran toddler. Duggar captioned the picture, "Israel loves making new friends! More pics and an update coming soon to www.dillardfamily.com."
But her seemingly innocent picture has been brutally criticized for "exposing" her son to countries that have the Zika virus.
"Israel is cute. Why r u [sic] taking him to 3rd world countries and exposing him to all diseases. Zika? Raise your child in your home and give him a family life," akapaige123 wrote.
"I hope you're taking into consideration the Zika virus! Blessings!!", svheal shared.
Mdsjeffries also weighed in, writing, "Put pants and long sleeves on that kid That virus thing is rampant where you are."
While becky_m2001 was concerned that the couple's future children may be in danger. She wrote, "He's gotten so big!! I just love this little boy and I'm so excited to see a recent picture of him! I hope y'all are staying safe in Central America. That Zika virus sounds pretty bad and, not trying to be rude, since y'all have chosen not to use birth control that's something you and Derick should definitely be mindful of in the event of a second pregnancy."
