Kaley Cuoco attempted to break Instagram with a photo of her co-stars with the Friends gang last night.
It turns out Cuoco is just as much of a fangirl as the rest of us. In an Instagram post that’s already gotten more than 190,000 likes, she writes, “NIGHT MADE. Can’t breathe #friends meets #bbt… I died and went to heaven.” Isn’t that pretty much what you would write if you saw those two gangs, casually hanging out at a black tie dinner?
The post is just a preview of NBC’s Must See TV: A Tribute to James Burrows, a special tribute to the director that will air on Feb. 21. According to Sean Hayes, who directed the special, it’s less of a “Friends reunion” and more of a show featuring our favorite cast members from all the shows Burrows has directed during his decades-long career.
Burrows is a sitcom master director, with hits including Taxi, Cheers, Will & Grace, Dharma & Greg, 3rd Rock from the Sun, 2 Broke Girls, and of course, Friends and The Big Bang Theory.
Fans will notice that Matthew Perry is missing from Cuoco’s shot, but don’t worry, Chandler Bing will be on hand for the taping. He’ll introduce his former Friends as they head into Central Perk, much like the clip shows. As for Phoebe, Monica, Ross, Rachel and Joey, there’s no word yet on whether we’ll be getting an update on their lives or just another chance to hang with the gang.
