RHOA's NeNe Leakes makes a peace offering to Cynthia Bailey
No one is more surprised that NeNe Leakes has buried the hatchet with Cynthia Bailey than NeNe Leakes herself.
Leakes and Bailey's feud exploded when the The Real Housewives of Atlanta stars started publicly arguing about things like Leakes' storyline (or lack thereof) and calling Bailey's husband a "bitch." But now the two seem to have put the past behind them.
In an interview with BravoTV.com, Leakes explained why she decided to bury the hatchet.
"When someone betrays you, it damages your trust and that's a very hard thing to get past," she explained. "People who know me know that I move on! I don't try to fix broken pieces, although that was probably a bad thing. I'm a work in progress. It took a lot of prayer and long talks from loved ones in order for me to forgive and really do this with an open heart. So I felt like I was in a really good place in my life where I could start over with Cynthia and reconnect. I'm happy I did… I have unblocked Cynthia on all social media. Bing!"
Bailey told BravoTV.com that while the friendship is definitely on the mend and there is currently no beef between Leakes and Bailey's new bestie, Kenya Moore, fans should definitely pray for them.
"Kenya is my girl and we are great friends," Bailey said. "I don't think NeNe was upset about this. I feel she was playfully giving me a hard time about my relationship with Kenya as friends do with one another. NeNe and I have not been friends for a couple of years, and I feel we are both reclaiming our place in each other's lives. These are two different women and two different relationships. I respect them accordingly. They are both dear to my heart and mean the world to me. My goal is to be the greatest friend I can be to both of them. Keep the three of us in prayer."
With Leakes' return to The Real Housewives of Atlanta this season, the pair's rekindled friendship — and how Moore's relationship with Bailey is affected — will definitely be interesting to watch.
