PLL star Cody Christian reveals his big plans for a career change (VIDEO)
With each new year comes the promise of new beginnings and untapped potential, and celebrities are no different from you and me — they make resolutions, too.
And if you've ever wondered if they endeavor to devote time to the same kind of pursuits you hope to — think traveling more, running a marathon, finally finishing the entire series of Lost — we've got a little insight for you.
At the 2016 People's Choice Awards held Jan. 6, SheKnows tapped some of TV's hottest rising stars to weigh in on the things they hope to learn and hopefully conquer in 2016.
Some, like Teen Wolf's Arden Cho, were more abstract. "I think I really want to learn to be more open-minded to trying new challenges and not being so scared," she shared.
Other stars had very specific tasks in mind for 2016 and, interestingly, several centered around the same pastime: music.
Said Pretty Little Liars' Cody Christian, "I want to start singing. I didn't do it last year because I was too busy and I didn't want to take away from what my priorities were, but now I have some free time and, like, I really want to focus on that and develop a really good singing voice."
Fun! Looks like he could be joining his onscreen sis, country singer/actress Lucy Hale, in the realm of TV-to-radio crossover stars (and, hey, we're definitely not complaining).
Also dipping their toes into the musical world are Baby Daddy's Jean-Luc Bilodeau, who is itching to master a certain musical instrument, and his costar Tahj Mowry.
When asked who or what he'd like to learn more about in the upcoming year, Mowry cited connecting with his fans on another level. "I'm doing music now, so to be able to speak to them in that sort of way and light now is really cool to me."
