Potterheads leave touching tribute to Alan Rickman on Platform 9 and 3/4
Fans of Alan Rickman from all over the world have been paying tribute to the much-loved actor in various ways. The Harry Potter community, of course, loves Rickman as Professor Severus Snape, and have come up with the perfect way to memorialise the Potions Master.
What better way to remember the actor who played their beloved Snape than to pay tribute to him at a very special place for all Potterheads — Platform 9 and 3/4 at London’s King's Cross station.
Only hours after the news of Rickman's death broke, fans began leaving flowers at the trolley jammed in the wall.
A collection of flowers also appeared on the platform itself.
And it kept growing.
At the Wizarding World theme park in Orlando, flowers were laid outside the Potions classroom, where Snape taught many young wizards and witches how to brew glory.
Rickman's Harry Potter co-stars have also been paying tribute to the actor. Daniel Craig wrote on his Google+ page: "Alan Rickman is undoubtedly one of the greatest actors I will ever work with. He is also, one of the loyalest and most supportive people I've ever met in the film industry." (sic)
Emma Watson posted on Facebook: "I'm very sad to hear about Alan today. I feel so lucky to have worked and spent time with such a special man and actor. I'll really miss our conversations. RIP Alan. We love you."
