RHOA producers reportedly axed ‘boring’ transgender cast member

There was excitement when The Real Housewives of Atlanta revealed transgender star Amiyah Scott would be joining the cast, but the relationship between her and producers has since soured.

Reports previously claimed that Scott was so disgusted with the way that producers treated her, and their attempts to sexualize her, that she quit the show. But, according to TMZ, production sources say things didn’t happen this way.

The truth of the matter (at least according to the sources) is that producers actually didn’t want Scott on the show because she was boring and brought nothing interesting to the table. Ouch.

The gossip site also addresses the claims that Scott (who would have been the franchise’s first transgender cast member) was forced to wear lingerie during filming, and according to producers, these claims are “ridiculous.” Instead, they claim fellow castmate Porsha Williams asked Scott if she would like to model her lingerie line, but Scott declined the offer, and that was the end of that.

While fans may be disappointed that Scott will not be a Real Housewives regular, they will still be able to see her on the small screen as she will be starring in Empire‘s Lee Daniels new TV show.
