Khloé Kardashian's Christmas plans: Will Lamar Odom be alone?
Will Khloé Kardashian spend the holidays with Lamar Odom?
As Odom continues to improve, little by little, following his near-fatal drug overdose in October, Kardashian is still staying by his side, sources revealed to People magazine today.
An insider close to the whole Kardashian clan said that as the family gets ready for its own holiday celebrations, "the Lamar situation still weighs on Khloé. She's not one who just walks away."
The source continued, "She's going to be there for him, but she also needs to start focusing back on herself — and she knows that."
Kardashian has been regularly visiting Odom since he was hospitalized, and has stayed by his side as he fights to regain cognitive and motor functions he lost as a result of his injuries. She's told media outlets previously that she's committed to continuing to care for her estranged husband during his recovery.
"There is a very long road ahead of [Lamar]," she said in October. "He has to walk that road by himself, and, most importantly, he has to want to walk that road. I will be there supporting him every step of the way."
Conflicting reports have cast some confusion on exactly how Odom's recovery is going, with some saying he's beginning to walk again and others saying that's not the case. Regardless, sources say Kardashian remains involved in his care, and that she's looking forward to the future rather than back at the past.
"Khloé is so looking forward to this year being over; 2015 was a hard one to say the least," People magazine's source continued. "She feels like the New Year will bring new things, and she certainly deserves it."
