Looks like Josh Duggar will be nowhere near his family this Christmas.
Josh has been in rehab in Illinois for an addiction to pornography since August, after a barrage of confessions including the molestation of his younger sisters and revelation that he had an account on the cheating facilitation website Ashley Madison. According to an insider, he’ll be spending the holidays in Illinois without the company of his large family.
A source revealed to People, “I don’t think he’s going to be back for Christmas. I would be surprised. There would be a huge elephant in the room.”

Not everyone is mad at Josh, according to the source; his youngest children Marcus, Mackynzie, Michael and newborn Meredith Grace are too young to understand what’s going on. He says, “It’s so hard when it comes to kids. They miss their dad. They’re like, ‘Where’s daddy?’ They’ve said it before.” Josh’s wife Anna took Meredith Grace to visit the rehab facility a month ago. The insider claims Anna called it “the best three days of [her] life.”

While Josh has been in rehab, his family has returned to television with Jill & Jessa: Counting On, a series that chronicles the aftermath of his indiscretions. That’s not quite what you want to discuss at family Christmas dinner, although if it did happen, we bet anything the TLC cameras would be there to film it.
