Yolanda Foster calls out Taylor Armstrong for her ‘ignorance’

Yolanda Foster is firing back at her Lyme disease doubters.

Foster took to Bravo’s blog following The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills this week, which showed her co-stars, particularly Taylor Armstrong and Kyle Richards, expressing doubt about Foster’s illness, which she has been struggling with for years.

“I think that if Yolanda’s doing all these treatments for Lyme disease, and nothing’s working, she has to be open-minded to what else it could be,” Richards told the camera.

The ladies later clarified that they don’t doubt Foster is sick, but they do doubt her diagnosis.

“I was asking if she had done so or if she was only focused on the Lyme disease path,” Armstrong explained in another blog following RHOBH Season 6, Episode 3. “I know that she is ill. I was not questioning that, and I wasn’t questioning Yolanda. I was merely suggesting that since all the Lyme disease treatments were not helping her, maybe she and her doctors should consider other possibilities.”

But just because Armstrong and Richards have clarified doesn’t mean Foster is letting them off the hook for their uneducated remarks.

“What I saw on the show tonight was just that: IGNORANCE. Maybe it should anger me, but instead it makes me want to fight harder and speak louder for those whose voices can’t be heard,” Foster wrote. “Those of you who have experienced chronic illness, you know what I’m talking about. What defines suffering? You will never hear someone who’s walked in my shoes speak the way Taylor spoke on tonight’s episode. I truly hope she never has to experience the journey she questions me for sharing.”

She continued, “There are many times during this journey I’ve wondered why I wasn’t given more to work with. Why Lyme? Why not a diagnosis with textbook answers and a cure? I will not apologize or make excuses for having an illness that is difficult for others to comprehend. What others say about me is not my problem.”

Instead, Foster is looking to the future.

Do you think Armstrong and Richards are completely out of line, or were their comments simply misconstrued?
