LeAnn Rimes gets honest about having children with Eddie Cibrian
There are no babies on the horizon for Rimes and Cibrian, and she is just fine with that.
Rimes told InTouch that she is not sure she is ready for the major lifestyle change a baby creates — and she and husband Cibrian get the whole parenting experience through his sons from his first marriage to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Brandi Glanville.
"I have two kids in my house half the time, so I know what it takes to be a parent," Rimes revealed when asked by the mag if she still wants babies of her own. "I know my life will change — I just don't know if I'm ready for that yet."
"Life is fine just as it is," she added. "We have lots of love at home."
Besides, she said, blood doesn't always make you a family. She said having bonus kids has helped her "understand the capacity I have to love someone that's not my own blood.
"I'm just really enjoying our blended family at the moment," she explained.
The statement is a total about-face from 2013, when she said she and Cibrian "practice often" for baby-making and Cibrian added, "She wants a little girl, badly."
Of course, Rimes might just be erring on the side of caution. Her husband has not had a steady gig since the much-panned Pan Am was canceled in 2011 and his net worth is about 1/10 of hers — compare $1 million to $10 million. If they split and children were involved, he could theoretically take her for a ton of spousal and child support. He doesn't exactly have a great track record when it comes to marriage, since his first ended when he cheated on Glanville with Rimes. Perhaps Rimes is just hedging her bets.
