Prince William teases Kate Middleton over ’embarrassing’ flirting (VIDEO)

Prince William and his wife the Duchess of Cambridge — the former Kate Middleton — definitely know how to work the crowd when they make official appearances, and their banter today was no exception.

Will and Kate visited London’s stock trading floor at brokerage firm ICAP’s annual Christmas Charity Day and took to the phones to close some deals. The firm donates their entire day’s revenue and commissions to various charities, which this year include two of Kate’s pet causes, Place2be and SportsAid, as well as SkillForce, of which Will is a patron.

When Kate got on the phone to help close some deals, we got a glimpse of how she sweet-talks Will — and he totally called her out on it.

“Ask nicely, pretty please, Andrew,” she giggled during one call. “Have a very happy Christmas.”

“Catherine, I think you can stop flirting with them now!” Will playfully admonished. “Sorry, my wife is just embarrassing me!”

The sporty couple later found time for a couple of quick rounds of basketball and Ping-Pong.

“Come on, let’s try and have a rally of more two goes,” Will teased his wife, adding, “You’re not normally this polite when we play.”

“Or this quiet,” she shot back.

The event brought in $540 million worth of deals. Since 1993 it has generated over $190 million for charities.

Kate debuted a new hairstyle at the event: a perfectly coiffed lob, which proved she cut a solid four to six inches off her lovely chestnut locks. The new look was the second time royal watchers went nuts over Kate this week. Yesterday, crowds got a quick glimpse of a very special piece of jewelry atop her head: the Cambridge Lover’s Knot tiara, which was one of the trademark pieces of bling of her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana.
