That’s right: her boyfriend and fellow coach, Blake Shelton.

With Season 9 of the hit singing competition show coming to a close, Stefani has only three more appearances before she takes a break during Season 10. But with her romance with Shelton just starting to take off, it turns out he may have some plans in the works to keep her around a little longer.

I don’t want Gwen to not be on the show — why can’t we have a fifth coach?” he said to Extra‘s Renee Bargh.

Bargh also spoke to the other three judges, including Stefani, who dished on how it feels to be leaving her post as a successful judge on the show.

“I wonder…” Stefani answered coyly when asked who she was going to miss most, before adding that she’s “devastated” that she only gets to pick out three more outfits to wear on the show. “It’s the combination,” she said. “It’s the chemistry.”

Maroon 5’s Adam Levine, another coach for the show, also weighed in on Stefani’s run.

“I think Gwen has been a stand-out moment,” he said. “Somehow, when Gwen walks in the room, we all look like we’ve been wearing the same outfit for 10 years.”

Even though Stefani is leaving The Voice, she’s not exiting the limelight any time soon. She’ll be performing her single “Used To Love You” on NBC’s New Year’s Eve with Carson Daly, and she also plans to put out a new album next year, possibly with an accompanying tour.

“I cannot wait for that,” she said about her upcoming next steps. “I have not performed on New Year’s Eve in a long time. It’s gonna be awesome.”
