RHOC's Heather Dubrow goes on heated rant about Vicki Gunvalson
The Real Housewives of Orange County star Heather Dubrow is mad as hell, and she's not going to take it anymore. Dubrow recently opened up — or, "let it rip" is probably more accurate — about Vicki Gunvalson's non-apology in regards to the whole Brooks Ayers cancer drama. And it's safe to say, she and Gunvalson won't be grabbing coffee anytime soon.
After Gunvalson sort of apologized for playing any role whatsoever in Ayer's cancer drama on Watch What Happens Live recently, Dubrow is officially over her former friend. If you saw, or heard, about the show, you know that Gunvalson never actually said sorry for lying about Ayer's cancer — or "cancer" — treatment. She did, however, apologize for being duped. And Gunvalson couldn't have possibly annoyed Dubrow any more. In fact, Dubrow thinks the apology is "bulls***."
At Radar Online's 6th Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony, Dubrow revealed her true feelings.
"We’re all over her," she said. "We are over the lies, and we are over the propaganda tour, and we are all over the whole thing." She then added, "It really sucks what she’s done, and I will tell you what I really don’t like. What I don’t like is the bulls*** apology that isn’t really an apology. It’s an apology for being duped."
Dubrow admitted she believed that, at some point, Gunvalson was likely fooled by Ayers. But then on the flip side, at some point she must have known also.
Gunvalson is yet to clearly explain exactly what transpired when she and Ayers were together during his supposed cancer battle. She says she didn't know Ayers was faking anything, but, as we all know, it's highly unlikely that someone — especially someone like Gunvalson — wouldn't question anything Ayers was doing. She really didn't think it was odd that she never saw him receive treatment?
Dubrow also said she just wished Gunvalson would admit something so she and the rest of the girls could go on and "begin to heal" — and she has a point. How on earth could these women ever be friends again if Gunvalson is going to continue living a lie?
So. Where does this leave things now? Well, for one, it's hard to imagine how Gunvalson — the OG of the O.C. — is going to return to the show. From the sound of things, everyone hates her. How could they all arrange their fake lunches and parties with Gunvalson if they can't stand her? And two, if there is any truth to this, and Gunvalson did know Ayers was lying, she's almost as bad as he is.
It doesn't really seem like we're ever going to get the full story on Gunvalson and Ayers. We know that Gunvalson left her husband, Donn, for him and that Ayers was supposedly sick then. But so many other things about their relationship don't add up or make sense. This, of course, being the most confusing thing of all.
It's impossible to understand how these two were living together, but Gunvalson, who's as overbearing as it gets, never once accompanied him for chemo or whatever other treatments he was trying. Like Dubrow said, she had to have known something was off, and why she didn't just up and leave then is beyond comprehension.
Gunvalson and Ayers' story line was pretty riveting this year, but again, it's hard to believe Bravo will bring her back for another season. What these two did was pretty despicable, and what could she possible shoot if she's completely alone?
Perhaps if she comes clean and admits to knowing that something was off — at the very least — she and both her castmates, as well as Bravo, can figure something out. They can then, as Dubrow put it, begin to heal.
