Adam Levine and Blake Shelton’s bromance is an integral part of The Voice, but according to a few disgruntled viewers, the popular judges are overrated. Could favoritism surrounding Shelton and Levine be compromising the few remaining members of Team Gwen and Team Pharrell?
Team Blake and Team Adam traditionally have done very well on The Voice, and the current season appears to be no exception. Meanwhile, Team Pharrell and Team Gwen are hanging by a thread. Do Shelton and Levine’s teams really have the superior talent, or are people simply voting based on which judge they find the cutest?

To be fair, there’s no rule saying that viewers should never take the identity of a singer’s coach into account when deciding who deserves to move on in the competition. Ideally, however, people would choose the best singer instead of focusing on the coaches. After all, this show is supposed to be about finding America’s next big star.

Several annoyed viewers are sick and tired of always seeing Shelton and Levine on top. These fans seem to have forgotten that Sawyer Fredericks was a member of Team Pharrell. However, they make a good point — Shelton and Levine are often the center of attention and the singers on their teams often do well.

According to a few fans of The Voice, the real reason for Shelton and Levine’s continued success is that their celebrity status has convinced viewers to vote for them again and again, regardless of the level of talent on their teams. These critics believe that it’s time to replace the longtime judges with somebody new.
Not everybody has a problem with Shelton and Levine doing so much better than the other judges. Many believe that Team Adam and Team Blake are in the lead not only because fans dig the coaches, but also because Shelton and Levine fought to have the best singers on their teams. One fan in particular was excited to see so many members of Team Adam and Team Blake make it through tonight’s elimination episode.
A member of Team Blake or Team Adam will very likely win The Voice, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. Both teams are full of amazing singers! However, the show will be a lot more interesting if Gwen Stefani and Pharrell manage to keep their contestants in the running for at least a few more weeks.
