Tamar Braxton may have had her last dance.

The Dancing with the Stars contestant missed tonight’s live show after she was rushed to the hospital, reportedly threatening her chances of continuing in the competition.

TMZ reported Monday afternoon that Braxton was rushed to the emergency room during dress rehearsal for the show. Host Tom Bergeron confirmed that at the beginning of the show, but offered hope that Braxton might still make it back in time to perform.

"This is very much a live show," he said. "We don't have all the information right now. She might return in time to dance live here. We'll keep you posted as we find out more."

Ultimately, however, Braxton didn’t make it back, meaning the judges had to score her based on taped footage from the dress rehearsal. Braxton and her partner, Val Chmerkovskiy, received a score of 22/30.

"You just saw a person that shouldn't have been here, and was here because she felt bad for her partner, teacher, you know? That's why I feel really bad, because it shouldn't be like that," a tearful Chmerkovskiy told the judges. "It should be a fun journey. I'm not here to make her life hard. We want to celebrate her effort."

TMZ reports that Braxton had been fighting pneumonia for two weeks and that her illness became so bad during the rehearsal, her husband rushed her to the hospital. She’s the second contestant this season to miss a live show due to illness; Kim Zolciak was forced to withdraw early in the season after she had a stroke and wasn’t cleared to travel in time to make it to the broadcast. Zolciak's withdrawal has fans wondering if the same will happen to Braxton.

Prior to tonight, Braxton was a favorite on the show. She tied with Bindi Irwin for second place last week with 28/30, just behind Nick Carter’s perfect score.

UPDATE, Nov. 10: According to E! News, Braxton reportedly did make it back in time to perform, but as per the official Dancing with the Stars official rules, she was judged by her dress rehearsal footage. As previously stated, the dress rehearsal routine received a score of 22/30.

But not only did Braxton return on Monday night (and avoid elimination), she also impressed everyone when she teamed up with Nick Carter for a Cirque du Soleil number to The Beatles' "Hey Jude." The pair walked away with a near perfect score of 27 out of 30.

Speaking of their dance, Carter revealed to Us Weekly that Braxton was in very poor health. He said, "There was a moment right before when she came out, a minute before we were going to perform and Val actually came to me and said, 'Listen, everything aside, I need you to be a lead man tonight and I need you to protect her and take care of her.'"

"She was unstable," he added. "So on top of everything else I needed to know and didn't learn because of our lack of rehearsals, I had to really put her first and assume that responsibility and really just kind of make sure that she was taken care of."
