Rebel Wilson wages war against Kendall and Kylie Jenner
Rebel Wilson may be a funny lady, but that doesn't mean she doesn't have a harsh side.
During an interview with Australia's Kylie and Jackie O. Show, the Pitch Perfect star revealed that she had the opportunity to present an award at the VMAs. Only, she would have had to present it with Kendall and Kylie Jenner. So she flat out said "no."
"They're famous for no talent," Wilson explained.
"I said I'd do it myself," the actress added. And the VMAs went for it because that's exactly what happened.
"What they stand for is totally against what I stand for," Wilson continued. "They seem a bit superficial and their careers aren't really based on talent. I know they're super popular, but I'm all about personality and working hard to get to where I am. How Kim Kardashian got famous from the sex tape and I just went to acting school and worked really hard..."
Maybe that's how Kardashian got famous, but it seems a bit unfair to equate her with her sisters. Especially when it seems that Kendall, in particular, is working really hard in the modeling business to differentiate herself from the family pack.
Plus, it sounds like Wilson hasn't ever even met the girls and is only basing her opinion off what she sees online. As someone in the spotlight, shouldn't she, of all people, know that tabloid stories and what's presented online isn't always true?
Sure, the Kardashian/Jenner clan doesn't have the best reputation among the Hollywood elite. They're famous for being famous and that clearly rubs a lot of hardworking actors the wrong way. But maybe Wilson should have kept that little VMAs story to herself.
