Paris Jackson denies that she’s married.
But does anyone actually believe her? Days after rumors hit the Internet that 17-year-old Jackson had married her boyfriend, Chester Castellaw, she’s not doing anything to quell the rumors that remain — she was spotted leaving dinner with her beau wearing what looked like a gold band on her left ring finger.
The rumors reportedly started when Jackson’s Instagram account was changed to include Castellaw’s last name. She has since denied that they wed, claiming the Instagram account is a fake.
Since Jackson is still a minor, she’d have to get permission from a legal guardian to get married — her grandmother, Katherine Jackson, or cousin, TJ Jackson, in this case.
Despite the suspicious-looking bling on Jackson’s hand, there is some evidence supporting her case: Three weeks ago, she appeared in a video posted to Castellaw’s Instagram, asking fans for help in getting two fake accounts taken down.
“Hey, guys, just wanted to thank everybody that’s been super supportive lately. I appreciate it from the bottom of my heart,” Jackson says in the video. “I was hoping you guys could help me get the accounts on Instagram @parisjackson and @thatjacksonchickk__ deleted.”
Jackson and Castellaw have reportedly been dating since April. According to the Daily Mail, they met in Los Angeles after Jackson returned there from studying at a therapeutic boarding school in Utah. Her stint at the school followed the death of her father, Michael Jackson, and a rumored suicide attempt in 2013.
“Chester is a really good influence on her and he keeps her healthy, sober, and away from the Hollywood drama,” a source told Radar Online about the pair in May. “Chester is not only her boyfriend but also her best friend and the one person that she confides in with everything.”
