Jenelle Evans' ex-husband's heroin addiction to be revealed in documentary
Courtland Rogers, the ex-husband of Teen Mom’s Jenelle Evans, is trying to turn his life around and help others by participating in a new documentary about heroin addiction.
Rogers took part in the special feature In Vein: Hooked on Heroin, an investigation by Wilmington, North Carolina, news station WECT — and in a special preview, he reveals just how easy it is to score the dangerous drug.
"I'm not exaggerating when I say that — 110 people I could go to right now and buy heroin from in this town," he said.
And he should know. He has certainly had his run-ins with the law over drugs. His now-ex Jenelle Evans, whom he wed in December 2012, was arrested in April 2013 for heroin possession, and Rogers was nabbed for assault and possession of heroin with the intent to manufacture, sell and distribute. He spent three months in jail last year after a parole violation.
The couple divorced in June 2014 after a state-mandated year-long separation.
Rogers says he has fought hard to overcome his addiction; he tweeted about his recovery in September.
There is no love lost between Rogers and Evans. In September, he blamed her for ruining his life. "Teen Mom is the stupidest show ever ... Good job MTV for destroying those girls lives PUBLICLY smh PS I hate You JE for destroying mine."
Rogers is expecting his second child, another girl, in December.
