Travis Browne makes bold claims about his relationship with Ronda Rousey
Off the market?
Travis Browne is making some bold claims about his fellow UFC fighter and Women's Bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey: He says they're in a relationship, and a pretty serious one based on his claims.
During an interview on The MMA Hour talk show on Monday, Browne revealed that he and Rousey have been "together" for some time now. According to his remarks, they started talking over the summer, though Us Weekly reports that in July, Browne's ex-girlfriend Jenna Reneé Webb accused him of domestic abuse, sparking an investigation in which no evidence was found.
"Dating is for children. Dating is for kids. Over the summer, through all the shit that I had to shuffle through, that I had to sift through, Ronda and I started talking throughout the summer and I’ll say now that we are together," 33-year-old Browne said on the show. "She’s my woman and I’m her man. There’s no boyfriend, girlfriend stuff. There’s no dating. We’re together."
Twenty-eight-year-old Rousey has been on the same team as Browne at Los Angeles' Glendale Fighting Club for more than a year. Rumors first started circulating that the two were more than just teammates back in August, but in September, Rousey publicly agreed to accompany Marine Jarrod Haschert to the Marine Corps Ball.
Still, Browne had nothing but good to say about his rumored "woman" on Monday.
"I know her as one of the hardest-working athletes that I’ve ever seen, in this gym busting her butt on a daily basis," he said. "And through our own personal experiences of how compassionate and really how much of a sweetheart she really is."
Browne continued, "That’s what a lot of people don’t see out of her. They see that, but they don’t really get to experience that."
