Man Crush Monday: Grandfathered/Grinder edition with John Stamos & Rob Lowe
OK, everybody, this week we have a very, very special edition of Man Crush Monday. Whether you were obsessed with St. Elmo's Fire, or Full House was totally your jam back in the day, we've absolutely got you covered.
That's right, this week's #MCMs are Rob Lowe and John Stamos.
Even if you were too young to get in on the Lowe and the rest of the brat pack craze when it was going down in the '80s, the amazing films they created live on and are still in heavy slumber party rotation to this day.
By the same token, the appeal of Stamos' Uncle Jesse and the late '80s/early '90s favorite Full House still rages, so much so that Netflix has the highly anticipated Fuller House in the works as we speak.
Not only that, these two guys aren't just living in the shadow of their past, but instead starring in new shows on Fox, which both debuted in September.
Stamos takes the lead in Grandfathered, and it is hilarious. Did we mention it's set near the beach and he's often wearing shorts?
Lowe stars alongside Fred Savage in Grinder, and his character is a lawyer, so short-shorts aren't as prevalent as on Grandfathered, but Lowe sure knows how to rock a suit, so we're not complaining.
How is that these guys are just as babe-a-licious now, if not more so, than they were 20 years ago? We'll have what their having, please.
Perhaps an even better question is: Who's hotter? John Stamos vs. Rob Lowe, it's the ultimate GILF in training showdown.
Weigh your options and you be the judge.
We know John Stamos can act, but we're also smitten with the fact that he can drum his sexy butt off. How many people do you know that can say they've toured with The Beach Boys?
He was also the drummer on The Black Keys' 2014 album, Turn Blue.
Lowe's acting career is prolific, and he won two Screen Actor's Guild Awards for his part on West Wing, and has been nominated for five Golden Globe awards.
He also could have had a career as a celebrity impersonator, if he wanted to.
Stamos was married to model Rebecca Romijn from 1995 to 2005, but he hasn't really been in a super serious relationship since then. He is, however, looking and wants to have a family.
"I'd really like to be in a relationship," he told In Touch magazine in 2013. "People used to say, 'If you're not married by 50, you'll be alone [forever],' but the world is different now. For the last 10 years, I've thought, 'I've got to get married again and have kids!' So I'm totally open to it."
Lowe has been married to his wife, Sheryl Berkoff, since 1991, and the couple have two sons, Matthew and John.
Stamos is the advisory board president and national spokesman for an organization called Project Cuddle, which provides a 24-7 hotline for new mothers in crisis who are considering abandoning their babies. So far, more than 750 babies have been saved in the United States and Canada through the project.
Here, he is talking about Project Cuddle on the Jeff Probst Show.
Lowe's mother died of breast cancer in 2003, and he actively supports charities involved with the illness. He was the first-ever male spokesperson for Lee National Denim Day, which raises large sums of money for breast cancer research and education.
We're not sure exactly what his routine is, but he's doing something right.
Lowe claims there's just no substitute for hard work when it comes to maintaining your physical appearance. He adheres to a pretty involved face care regimen, which he outlined recently on the Profile for Men website.
All right, it's time to make your choice! Decide who's hotter and cast your vote below.
